Rentals Policy

How it works:

  • Customer rents a tool for a pre agreed period (minimum period 1 week)
  • Customers Card is authorised for the full retail amount of tool including shipping costs i.e EU702 £170.00 plus shipping costs total £180.56
  • Tool is returned to Autotec-Direct on or before the agreed date by the customer in the condition shipped
  • Customers card is charged the amount due in the rental agreement i.e £19.99 for EU702 for 1 week
  • Total amount charged to the customer £19.99

Initial rental costs include delivery by us to the customer by fully insured and tracked service by a carrier of our choice. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the tool is returned to us in the condition it was dispatched on or before the agreed return date at the customers own cost, the customer is liable for all return shipping costs, the choice of return shipping is left to the customer, but all shipping must have an online tracking option, be insured to at least the purchase price of the tool and be able to be tracked online,with delivery confirmation with the customer providing the tracking number to Autotec-Direct on or before the day the item was agreed to be dispatched by any of the following means:

 this is for the customers benefit as lost or non delivered rental tools will be charged at full purchase price.

We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery as a return service as it will include insurance to £500.00 is trackable online and provides online delivery confirmation

All tools are security marked and will be fitted with anti tamper seals/marks.

Any item which has been the subject of tampering/opened casings or missing parts will be charged at the full retail price

We use either Royal Mail or an appointed courier for all our shipping services.

Lost/damaged orders and shipping Insurance:

It is the customers sole responsibility to choose the correct shipping service and the level of insurance required, As a rule First class recorded Signed for service is covered up to £34.00 GBP and is not recommended for high value orders.

Special delivery is insured to £500 and is the recomended service for orders over £50.00

All International orders are shipped using a signed for priority service with a signature required on delivery and online tracking

Use of this website is at your own risk, we cannot be held responsible for lost orders

Returns.
Returns are accepted if wrongly supplied or found to be faulty, we will replace with an item of equal or greater value.
If found not satisfactory a refund or a replacement tool will be sent at our discretion on return of the goods. All goods are tested and checked for tampering, and are security marked
Unwanted/replacement goods are accepted for refund provided they are in an unopened and unused state buyer pays all return postage,refund of purchase price only.
Guarantees.
All our goods carry a 7day no quibble money back guarantee, if you dont like our products you can send them back for a full refund of the purchase price no questions asked (the item must be returned in unopened and unused condition) Any opened /used items are subject to checks for damage,tampering and are subject to at least a 10% restocking fee. Any postage costs involved in delivering and returning the item are non refundable.
WE DO NOT SELL ON APPROVAL
we would need you to contact us before returning goods for a returns authorisation reference number.Code readers are guaranteed for one year against defective workmanship.

Distance Selling Regulations
As a mail order customer you have the right to cancel any item within 7 days of delivery provided it is in new and unused condition with original packaging and receipt. Items used will be deemed to have been accepted by you and therefore cannot be returned unless faulty. To cancel an item please e-mail us as advised above. Items must be received by us within 7 days of cancellation and you will receive a full refund to your credit card upon passed inspection of the goods. We will not refund your postage costs unless the item is faulty or there is an error in the delivery. Likewise, the item is to be returned at the customers cost.
